Lovett Bay is located at the edge of the National Park. There are fire trails which link up with West Head Rd however these are not able to be used for daily traffic, so the area is water access only.

Lovett Bay contains an area known locally as Frog Hollow on the north side of the bay as well as Little Lovett Bay further to the north of the main bay.

The Wharves which are serviced by the ferry are Lovett Bay Wharf on the North side of the bay and Halls Wharf which is in Little Lovett Bay. Halls Wharf provides access to the Youth Hostel which is located in Morning Bay (Towlers Bay) and provides short term accommodation www.yha.com.au/hostels/nsw/sydney-surrounds/pittwater .

Lovett Bay Boatshed is located near the wharf and provides boat services. www.lovettbayboatshed.com.au
