McCarrs Creek is across the water from the Holmeport Marina Church Point at the edge of the National Park. There are fire trails which link up with West Head Rd however these are not able to be used for daily traffic, so the area is water access only.

It is a protected area from most winds and as such is a popular area to moor boats.

There are only around 20 blocks of land making this one of the smallest suburbs in Sydney.
