Pittwater is a partially enclosed body of water 20 or so kilometres to the north of Sydney CBD. It is enclosed to the east by a peninsular where Newport, Avalon and Palm Beach are located. To the west Ku-Ring-Gai Chase National Park is its boundary and to the south Church Point and Bayview. It opens to the North into the mouth of the Hawkesbury River.

It is truly a magnificent waterway.
